The Antarctic Science Platform is seeking a Deputy Director to provide strategic vision and leadership for the design, development and implementation of a second phase of Antarctic Science Platform research and funding (2025-2032). Responsibilities of the role include leading stakeholder consultation, Platform Plan development, and integration of future research with New Zealand’s wider Antarctic research programme.
This role will join the Platform Leadership Team, and work within the current management and governance structure. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Platform’s Steering Group Deputy Chair to lead the future strategic direction of the Platform.
Pending continued funding and approval from MBIE, it is expected that these Deputies will assume the roles of Steering Group Chair and Platform Director from July 2025.
