The Antarctic Science Platform in supporting existing research leaders, growing the next generation of Antarctic researchers and attracting new talent, to sustain and build Aotearoa New Zealand’s strong national capability and international reputation in Antarctic research.
Key ways we are building capability include:
Early Career Researchers
Early career researchers (defined as within 8 years post PhD) working in the Antarctic Science Platform can be found here.
Post-Graduate Students
The post-graduate students who are undertaking either masters or PhD studies through the Antarctic Science Platform can be found here.
A group of early career researchers (ECR) from within the Antarctic Science Platform (ASP) have come together to establish the ASP ECR Group. This group aims to empower and amplify the ECR voice and promote ECR connections within the ASP.
Membership is open to those who self-identify as ECRs, including but not limited to early career researchers (defined as up to 8 years post PhD), postgraduate students, technicians and support staff; and whose work is embedded in the activities of the ASP.
