Shaun is a resource economist. His work involves improving the incorporation of Māori values into economic decision-making for collective assets that will enable Māori organisations to make more kaupapa Māori attuned decisions. Shaun is a member of the Ministry for the Environment’s expert panel appointed to create the framework for New Zealand’s first National Climate Change Risk Assessment. He leads the Māori Economies stream for Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, and is a member of the Kāhui Māori of the Deep South National Science Challenge.
