Sharon Stammerjohn

Dr. Sharon Stammerjohn is an international contributor to the field of polar oceanography and climate, focusing on atmosphere-ocean-sea ice interactions and how these interactions modify ocean-ice shelf interactions. She also has a long involvement using interdisciplinary approaches to understanding environmental and ecosystem response to polar climate variability and sea ice. Dr. Stammerjohn conducts her research at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research at the University of Colorado, Boulder and has dedicated her career to Antarctic research. She is co-author on over 100 publications and is well connected within the community.
