Omkar is a student at the University of Canterbury pursuing Masters in Applied Data Science. He has joined Antarctica New Zealand and Oceanum Ltd as a summer intern for 2024/25, working with Michael Meredyth-Young and Peter McComb to integrate Antarctic data with the Oceanum Datamesh, a cloud service used for interacting with environmental data. The project aims to help Antarctic researchers to access more quickly and easily, which aligns with the Platform's aim of enhancing data sharing capabilities for Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
