Dr Melissa Bowen is a Senior Lecturer and studies the physical state of the ocean (currents, temperatures, salinities) and how it changes and why.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Melissa will use data collected using moorings into the Ross Sea to simulate and understand ocean heat content and transport, as well as outflow of deep water from the Ross Sea.
