Max Thomas’ research interests are in the physical and biogeochemical processes in sea-ice. He has expertise in atmospheric trace gas measurements and modelling, including isotopologues.
Max is part of the aligned modelling project with the Deep South National Science Challenge. He will develop the NZ Earth System Model to more realistically represent melt around Antarctica by introducing spatial variability to the rate of change.
