Professor Ken Ryan’s research interests include ecophysiology, Antarctic algae, marine ecology, electron microscopy, light microscopy and climate change biology.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Ken will investigate the ecophysiological effects of pH, temperature, UVB and salinity on phototrophs in Antarctic coastal marine ecosystems, with a particular focus on algae associated with sea ice.
