Dr Joe Prebble uses fossil pollen and marine algae to quantify paleoenvironments. His speciality includes analysis of pollen and spores of Cenozoic to recent age from Antarctica and New Zealand, and Quaternary to recent dinoflagellates cysts from New Zealand and the Southern Ocean.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Joe will integrate past environmental reconstructions based on palaeontology with current climate models.
