Jess is a marine geoscientist with a research background in subseafloor fluid flow, gas hydrates and underwater landslides. Jess uses geologic, geophysical and oceanographic data to study sediment transport, seafloor morphology and the connectivity of subseafloor processes to the overlying water column.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Jess is using a novel dataset of near-seafloor observational dataset along an Antarctic submarine canyon to decipher the role of high latitude canyons in global ocean circulation and sediment transport.
