Helen Cleugh

Dr Helen Cleugh was a Research Scientist, and senior leader in climate and atmospheric science, in CSIRO from 1994 to 2020. She is currently an Honorary Professor at the Australian National University. She was a member of the World Climate Research Programme’s Joint Scientific Committee since 2015, and Vice Chair from 2019, until 2023.
Dr Cleugh is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) and the Australian Meteorological Society (AMOS). Her own research explores the links between the land surface, climate and the carbon and water cycles.
