Dr Dan Lowry specialises in numerical modelling of Antarctic Ice Sheet dynamics. His research investigates how ice sheet dynamics change under different climatic conditions.
In the
Antarctic Science Platform, Dan will use numerical models to understand ice
sheet and ice shelf sensitivity to changes in air and ocean temperatures during
past warm periods in Earth’s history, as well as project Antarctica’s future
sea level contribution under different emissions scenarios. Dan works closely
with the ASP’s National
Modelling Hub and he is
co-leader of ASP Project 1.
