Professor and Principal Scientist, Craig’s research focuses on the drivers and influences of ocean mixing in the stratified ocean. His interests include turbulent stratified flows in coastal (especially polar) environments, shelf-sea mixing, on-off shelf exchange, physical controls of ecosystems, biophysical interactions, observational infrastructure, and outreach. He is a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS).
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Craig will investigate Antarctic ocean mechanics. He is co-leader of ASP Project 2.
