Dr Christian Ohneiser is a Senior Lecturer. Christian’s research focuses on developing precisely time-calibrated, high-resolution paleoclimatic sedimentary records from the Antarctic margin and Southern Ocean.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Christian will use paleomagnetic methods to analyse sedimentary records taken from beneath the Ross Ice Shelf. He will construct time series of magnetic granulometry, fabric, mineralogy and concentration, in order to reconstruct climatic and oceanic change.
