Professor Crid Fraser is interested in the processes that drive evolution and structure global patterns of biodiversity, with a particular focus on the high-latitude and marine ecosystems of the Southern Hemisphere. Her research has contributed to understanding of the role of long-distance oceanic dispersal in facilitating colonisation events and connectivity of disjunct populations of shallow-water marine organisms.
In the Antarctic Science Platform, Crid will examine processes driving long-distance dispersal, and investigate how marine species respond to disturbance, including environmental change.
