Aimee Kaio

Aimee is passionate about community, hapu and iwi development, with a keen interest and focus on intergenerational wealth and wellbeing. Aimee is the Research and Innovation Director for Te Runanga o Ngāi Tahu, focusing on protecting and preserving the rights and interests in oceans and whenua. She has a Masters in Enterpreneurship and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Aimee, and is a board member of Community Trust South, Eat New Zealand and, for ten years, has been a member of the Kāhui Māori of the Deep South National Science Challenge. Aimee also supports her rūnanga on a range of taiao and cultural initiatives.
