The Antarctic Science Platform Te Tūāpapa Pūtaiao o Aotearoa mō Te Tiri o Te Moana – established 2018, hosted by Antarctica New Zealand, funded by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment – is nearing completion of its 7-year research programme, and planning for another seven.
The Platform’s physical and biological science advances understanding of Antarctica’s impact on the global earth system and on Aotearoa, and how this might change in a warming world.
Our bi-annual hui is an important event to share our past and ongoing work, and to consider next steps.
Tickets are limited to 120 Antarctic Science Platform members and 40 guests, so be quick to register here.
Hui participants are also invited to attend the S.T. Lee Lecture and reception hosted by Victoria University Foundation in conjunction with Te Puna Patiotio - The Antarctic Research Centre of Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington to be held on the evening of Tuesday 1 April. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Sridhar Anandakrishnan of Pennsylvania State University, followed by a reception. Further details will be provided to participants following registration.
